Map Tech // Number of available positions: 0

Role: You will develop and maintain the interactive map and corresponding app ( see this document). The map is a key part of the project and will require maintenance throughout the lifetime of the project.

Requirements: You have experience creating interactive maps in GIS or similar and in creating simple apps. However, this does not have to be professional experience. You are passionate about maps and the possibilities they offer for science communication. You have a keen eye for design and great attention to detail.

Content Reviewer (Design) // Number of available positions: 0

Role: You will review all approved content and improve its visual quality if necessary. This could for example include enhancing photographs, editing videos and "cleaning up" sound.

Requirements: You are creative and have a good eye for design and ideally some background in arts and/or digital design. We may be able to secure some funding to purchase software packages, but preferably you have access to the necessary software to enhance photos, presentations, videos.

 

🐋Content Reviewer (General) // Number of available positions: 0

Role: This role is key to guarantee the high scientific quality of the Talking the Coast content. You will review the content provided by the walker-talkers and other partners. You will check for copyright issues and make sure the content is appropriate and not offensive and you will flag sensitive content. You will verify the sources provided (if they had not been previously verified by the review panel) and ensure their scientific validity.

Requirements: You have a scientific background in marine science (minimum final year BSc) and show great attention to detail. You enjoy getting your head around different topics and are confident around checking scientific validity of sources.
